First Holy Communion

Updated: Oct 5, 2025

In the Eucharist, Jesus gives us His Body and Blood as true food and drink for our soul (cf. John 6:51, CCC 1324). Receiving First Holy Communion is a sacred milestone in a Catholic’s life. It draws us into intimate union with Christ and the Church through the source and summit of our faith. Children usually prepare through a parish program, while adults receive it after formation through the Rite of Christian Initiation. Sacramental Coordinator
